New Butterfly Paintings are Here 🦋

This was the first time I painted butterflies when I wasn’t trying to make them look realistic. I just had fun with them!

I was thinking of these paintings as gifts for Mother’s Day, which made me think about my mom. She has been gone six years now and I still think about her every day. I’m so thankful she was my mother and I thought about that a lot as I worked on each painting.

Also, speaking of mothers/grandmothers- as I was editing my newsletter this morning, my husband’s son and wife had a beautiful daughter, Cecelia Josephine! Mom and baby are both healthy so there is a lot of happiness here today! 🥰
