New Updated Gratitude Pack
We recently redesigned my Gratitude Postcard Pack and I wanted to share the story of how the idea for the project came to be.
Years ago, still reeling from a painful divorce and living in a tiny apartment I couldn’t afford, I bought art supplies and started painting for the first time since high school. Given I was so sad at the time, art was a way for me to heal. I had forgotten how much I loved to paint!
Then, I found an Australian woman on social media who did a gratitude project to help lift her out of depression. Right away I knew I wanted to do my own gratitude project. I decided to make 100 paintings for 100 people I was grateful for and give them all away.
It turns out that woman from Australia was an independent filmmaker. When she heard about my project, she added a stop during a trip to the US and filmed a short documentary about it called “Gratitude Grows.” Incredibly, a few years later the short film aired on "Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday!” (see the short film on my home page.)
That project became the foundation of my art business and put me on a path to create artwork that reflects my gratitude to the world.
The updated Gratitude Postcard Pack includes 30-paintings from this project! They are perfect for sending short messages to people you are grateful for, spreading the gratitude far and wide.
